Microsoft Teams Calling - Settings
Teams Calling – Settings
To update your audio settings in Teams click the Custom Setup option in the lower left corner of the screen then click Device settings.
Audio Settings
For Audio settings click on the Devices option on the menu
In the Audio Setting section, you’ll see options for Speaker and Microphone, the devices selected here should be the primary devices you use for communication in Teams whether it be your computer speakers, a headset, earbuds, etc.
If you look further down the screen, you’ll see an option for Secondary Ringer. This option is useful if you normally use a headset/earbuds for your calls but still want incoming calls to ring through your computer speakers for notification in case you are not wearing your headset at the time.
Call Handling/Voicemail
Click on the Calls option on the menu.
In the Call handing section, you can tell Teams what to do with your incoming calls. Here you can set to ring an additional number (such as your mobile #) and what to do if you don’t answer (redirect to voicemail or another number), the default is to redirect to voicemail. (Note: If you have the Teams app on your mobile device you don’t need to set it to ring to your mobile # as well as incoming calls will already ring to your mobile device through the app)
The Choose a ringtone section lets you set your ringtone for various types of calls.
The voicemail section lets you record a greeting as well as set options for what to do when calls are redirected to voicemail.
